We had leftover scraps from
our Festival of the Trees project so of course I could not help but piece a bunch of them together, adding in some fabrics from my stash. I was feeling extra bold when I added the border print, a wonderful
home dec fabric from Premier Prints.
I passed this little quilt on to my friend Georgann Eglinski, who organized our Trees project. I didn't measure it but I estimate it's about 30" square.
The detail shot shows the tiniest piece in the quilt, the tiny chartreuse shard. More proof that there is no scrap too small to use!!
Oreo blessed this before it left. He always gets in the picture ...
Great piece! Love the border...prefect choice. :)
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show that you can make something great out of not much. The border and the quilting are perfect.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and so worthwhile to use up scraps heh? I have a whole new bunch of scraps waiting in the wings...love your site and your reuse!!
ReplyDeleteNice work using up scraps and making a great improv quilt which you love to make, turns out so do I and I love. I'm about to start into another scraps improv and wanted to know if you'd mind me linking to this post as more encouragement to my readers that improv is really fun with so few restrictions, its freeing really. Don't you think so, please let me know asap.
ReplyDeleteCarli over Good Earth Quilting.
I love the combination of solids, strips and specially the border fabric. I am inspired today.. Should be doing 'work' but I want to sew after seeing this quilt.
