What I find so wonderful about this quilt is if you look at it enlarged, you can see where this quilter became better at piecing. This yellow block to me seems to be one of their first ones. As others appear to be "flatter" and better put together.
I hope the quilter was proud of this quilt, wild as it is to us, but the sashing again is what I love. The quilter made do, probably due to not being able to find stripe fabric. You have to love the creativity of this quilter.
